The objectives are located on the western slope of the Capitan Mountains in the valley of the right tributary of the river Latorita in the river basin of the river Olt, which is in the administration of the "Olt" Waters Department, Vâlcea county.

The present investment opportunity targets two micro-hydroelectric plants each with an installed power of 1,200 MW and 1,079 MW respectively.

Renewable energy investments are stimulated by both Romanian and European legislation. Thus, the Romanian state grants significant subsidies through law 220/2008 for establishing the system for promoting the production of energy from renewable energy sources, by granting “green certificates”, documents attesting the production of a quantity of 1 MW, electricity from renewable sources.

The manufacturers receive for each unit of electricity supplied in the network (1 MWh), a Green Certificate, which can be sold separately from the electricity, on the Green Certificates Market. The electricity produced through hydroelectric plants is subsidized by the Romanian state with 3 such green certificates.
The value of a green certificate is according to the legislation in force, between 30 and 55 Euro.

CHEMP Repedea 2

- Capture

Two capture fronts formed each of a metal socket module anchored between two wooden thresholds with mobile energy dissipating rhizome, the loading chamber which also plays a role of desnipator, adduction, the hydroelectric power station with quiet basin and the loading chamber for next step, escape channel.
         
             - The main characteristics of the capture are:
- Height talveg = 924.97 mdM
- Spillway height = 925.29 mdM
- Threshold level = 925.77 mdM
- Upper boundary level prism = 925.45 mdM
- Length of the overflow threshold = 19.50 m.

- The loading room of CHEMP Repedea 2 - is a tank-type construction made of reinforced concrete that has the role of taking over the flow of 0.256 m3 / s and managing it in the main adduction of the Repedea 2 plant.

- The adduction has a length of 2775 ml with the diameter DN700 and DN800.
The adduction is mounted at the foundation of the access road, on the bank of the watercourse. Its foundation will be directly on the rock. The material from which the adduction pipe is executed: OTEL

- Repedea 2 hydroelectric power station - is located at 735 mdM altitude on the right bank of the pr. Quickly. The boiler platform was built above the water level at maximum flows with 1% insurance.

- Water-units
In order to realize the hydraulic circuit, the plant in this arrangement is equipped with a hydro-aggregate consisting of a turbine and an asynchronous generator for the conversion of hydraulic energy into electricity.

Hydro-aggregate characteristics:
                 - CrossFlow Bank type turbine - 1112 kW
                 - Asynchronous generator MarelliMotori - 1079 kW

• Installed power Pi = 890.78 kW
• Net fall Hn = 185.85 m

- Quiet basin - Reinforced concrete construction that ensures the evacuation of the machined flow and the maintenance, if any, of the optimum immersion level of the suction cone. The water used by the installed hydro-aggregate is discharged into a quiet pool, and from it enters the loading room of the next energy step, respectively CHEMP Repedea 3.
The quiet basin is provided with an overflow system made of a pipe with Dn = 500 mm for unloading in the riverbed in the case of damage and "dry landing" of the downstream step adduction.


CHEMP Repedea 3

- Capture

Capture front composed of a metal socket module anchored between two wooden thresholds with movable energy dissipating rhizome, the loading chamber which also plays a role of desnipator, adduction, hydroelectric power station with quiet basin, drainage channel.

The main characteristics of the capture are:
- Height talveg = 734.94 mdM
- Spillway = 735.26 mdM
- Threshold = 735.74 mdM
- Upper boundary level prism = 735.42 mdM
- Length of the overflow threshold = 19.00 m.

- Upstairs loading chamber - located next to the quiet basin of the Repedea 2 boiler, is a reinforced concrete tank type construction that has the role of taking over the flow of 0.445 m3 / s and driving it in the main adduction of the boiler. Road 3.

- The adduction - with a length of 3273 m and Dn 900 mm is mounted in the access road, on the right side of the road, on the right bank of the watercourse. The material from which the adduction pipe is executed: OTEL.

-The Repedea 3 hydroelectric power station - is located at the level of 583 mdM on the right bank of the pr. Quickly. The boiler platform will be built above the water level at maximum flows with 1% insurance.

- Hydro-aggregates

In order to realize the hydraulic circuit, the plant in this arrangement will be equipped with a hydro-aggregate consisting of a turbine and an asynchronous generator for the conversion of hydraulic energy into electricity.

Hydro-aggregate characteristics:

- Turbine type CrossFlow Banks -1236 kW
- Asynchronous generator MarelliMotori - 1200 kW

• Installed flow rate Qi = 0.898 m3 / s
• Installed power Pi = 972.35 kW
• Net fall Hn = 149.02 m

The water used by the hydro-aggregate will be drained into a quiet pool and from it the water will flow into the drainage channel.

- Quiet basin and escape channel - reinforced concrete constructions that ensure the evacuation of the machined flow and the maintenance, if any, of the optimum immersion level of the suction cone. The water used by the installed hydro-aggregate will be discharged through a quiet basin connected to the drainage channel for disembarkation in the pr. Quickly.

Each power station is provided with its own transformer station 04 / 20kV as well as the associated cell assembly. The connection with the transmission network is executed by underground power line (LES 20kV) placed along the main adduction and the unique connection to the SEN is made from the CHEMP Repedea 3 power station.

The opportunity of these investments derives from the prerogatives of the national energy development program, in particular the use of green, clean energy.
